At this point in my journey, I had already been in LA for about two years. This era was a wild time, right when SoundCloud remixes were taking off and a lot of producers were starting to break into the mainstream. People still look back at this as the golden SoundCloud era, but for me, it was full of ups and downs. We were getting hit up by major labels and touring globally, but a lot of situations didn’t sit right. A&Rs selling dreams, friends slowly distancing themselves... It was around then that I realized what we do is a big deal, but the ego and energy that come with success can lead people to make some strange decisions.
Artistically, this album cover was inspired by a mix of a high-rise apartment a friend had above downtown Los Angeles and a condo in Koreatown. It’s filled with a lot of little easter eggs.
