💞 En Amor

En Amor (EP) is the DrewsThatDude project that set up my musical journey as an artist. It’s also the EP that a lot of people know me from. After graduating from Berklee, I moved from New York to Los Angeles. My move was mainly motivated by the fact that around 2014 I began to see success on Soundcloud and started doing shows as a DJ and artist.

At that point, I only had loose singles out and popular remixes that I’ll probably re-highlight on Substack at some point. The collection of all that music led to the idea of The Vault. During that time, I began working with Huh What & Where, most known for being the home of Kaytranda, Ta-Ku and Sango. The label owner Bahwee mentioned that after securing a deal with Ultra/Sony, I should develop a piece of music specifically for this endeavor. This led to the creation of En Amor (EP).
